Abstract

552,167. Circlips. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Sept. 23, 1941, No. 12328. Convention date, Oct. 4, 1940. [Class 89 (ii)] A circlip, particularly for connecting a lever arm 14 with the bent end of an operating rod 18, comprises a spring clip portion 20 with arcuate portions 22 to engage a groove 24 in the end of the rod which has a conical portion 19 to facilitate application of the clip. A U-shaped extension 29 straddles the end of the lever and has a ring portion 28 that embraces the rod and maintains the lever in a floating position so that jamming at 30 is avoided.
