551,856. Wetting agent compositions. FINCH, W. G. H. Aug. 29, 1941, No. 11059. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1940. [Class 15 (ii)] [Also in Groups VIII and XL] Facsimile telegraphic recording paper is coated with a composition containing toluol to minimise bleeding of the record due to the stylus, e.g. with a composition containing " Acryloid " (a solvent), amyl acetate, butyl acetate acting as a wetting agent, nitrocellulose, toluol, and pulverized zinc with titanium dioxide as the sensitive substance. In addition to zinc or aluminium powder, iodide of cadmium, potassium, or lithium, or chloride of nickel or iron may be used to increase electrical conductivity and aid in making the sheet non- inflammable.
