[Class 113 (i)] A skid fender for attachment to a lifeboat is formed of a shaped nosing iron or runner 7 secured to the gunwhale by a gripe fitting 14 and secured by a lashing rope 17 to the other gunwhale fitting 19, the runner being formed with brackets 9, 10 for securing distancing blocks 11, 12.
