Abstract

548,468. Regulating. FAWCETT, PRESTON & CO., Ltd., and BATHER, J. C. June 27, 1941, No. 8079. [Class 7 (vi)] In a controlling-device for an engine coupled to a dynamo for electric welding, in which a throttle 4 is controlled by a solenoid 7 in the circuit of the dynamo 9, the hand-operated switch 12 for controlling the arc-welding rod 10 is disposed upon the hand grip for the rod 10. The switch is preferably spring-loaded so that it is automatically closed when the hand grip is released. In a modification the solenoid is arranged in a shunt circuit.
