[Class 81 (ii)] A surgical pad for the alleviation of corns &c. has a body portion of latex sponge rubber, an adhesive under surface for attaching the pad to the body. of a user and a cover member of material having a smooth silky outer finish to eliminate drag on articles of apparel show the pad, which is of oval shape, Has a central body portion 5 of latex sponge rubber with central opening 8 covered by a layer of fabric 9 having a smooth silky surface e.g. rayon twill, the underside of the portion 5 around the opening 8 is covered with a soft, loosely woven, fabric 6 carrying an adhesive 7 ; the fabrics 6, may be vulcanised to the body portion 5 and the cover 9 may have an opening corresponding to the opening 8. A metatarsal arch supporting pad may be similarly formed.
