744,210. Foot bandages. BURNIE, J. D., and PLUCKNETT & CO., Ltd., C. J. July 7, 1954 [Oct. 15, 1953; Jan. 7, 1954], Nos. 28500/53 and 524/54. Class 81(2). A bandage in the form of a sock of extensible material comprises a part to extend over the plantar aspect of the foot, parts to engage a portion of the heel and around one or more toes, the bandage being shaped to expose the dorsal part of the foot and provided with one or more pockets for the location of a pad. The sock 2 is made of two-way stretch elastic material or oneway stretch nylon material and is cut away at the top and sides to expose the dorsal aspect of the foot. Pockets 6, 7 of similar material to the sock are provided for the location of latex foam pads 10, 11 therein. The pads may be covered with chamois leather. The pockets may be in the form of strips of material affixed to the bandage for retaining the pads in place.
