547,318. Cable-laying mole-ploughs. SHROSBERY, A. J., FLUTTER, A. V., SMITH, F. H. S., and CLARKE & CO., Ltd., T. Aug. 25, 1941, Nos. 10844 and 13576. [Class 6 (i)] A cable guide 13 mounted on a mole-plough support 10 is curved to present a continuously concave outline to the rear. The guide may be in one piece, or may be divided either in a vertical plane extending in the direction of movement or in a direction transverse to this plane. The parts may be hinged or clamped together. Antifriction devices such as rollers may be mounted in the tube. Side plates 14 secure the guide to the mole-supporting blade 10 and divert the soil to the sides. Link and cable work 39, 40 permit the plough frame, which also carries a turf-cutting disc 8, to be raised and lowered. Two or more guide tubes may be combined, arranged either side by side, or in tandem, or in both ways.
