Abstract
546,006. Ploughs. BOMFORD, D. R., and WILMOT & CO., Ltd., S. M. March 27, 1941, No. 4129. [Class 6 (i)] A mould board 5 carrying a share 6 is 'secured to a bracket 7 pivoted to a member 4 at the bottom of a frame consisting of a pair of upper diverging tubular members 2 welded at their rear ends to downwardly directed tubular members united to the member 4. A rod 19 engaging an eye 23 at the top of the bracket is held at its other end by a cranked horizontal shaft 16 which may be rotated by a handle 18 to move the rod longitudinally and tilt the share into or out of its operative position. A skid 31 is secured to the frame. A swivel coulter 34 is adjustably mounted in front of the share. A travelling wheel 35 is mounted between parallel bars 36 pivoted to the frame. The wheel is held in its raised and lowered positions by securing the bars to brackets 38, 39. A tractor is attached to a plate 29 hinged to a swivelling plate 28 on the horizontal arm of a right-angle bracket, the vertical arm of which is so secured to a fixed front plate 9 as to be angularly adjustable.
