[Class 40 (v)] In a carrier telegraph receiving circuit of the kind described in Specification 528,274, the sensitivity of the receiving relay RR is varied in accordance with the carrier input from filter L by connecting a biasing winding of relay RR through resistances 23, 9 to the anode of a variable Á carrier frequency amplifier T1 to the control grid of which is applied a gain control potential from the suppresser grid of a D.C. amplifier T3.
