544,769. Shields for protection against incendiary bombs. GRIFFITHS (SMETHWICK), Ltd., A. E., and GRIFFITHS, A. E. March 26, 1941, No. 4046. [Class 51 (ii)] A body shield for protection against incendiary bombs comprises a metal plate 1 to which is secured a strap 2 passing through a bridge piece 3 and of such a length that a loop may be formed above or below the bridge piece. The forearm is passed through the loop and a V-shaped bar 6 is gripped by the hand. Two or more separate strap loops and two or more separate hand grips may be provided. Observation holes 8 and an opening 9 to receive the nozzle of a stirrup pump are provided.
