Abstract

543,390. Lighting fittings. PIEPER, A. F. June 14, 1940, No. 10379. Convention date, July 14, 1939. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] A lighting unit adapted for use in a dental surgery comprises a frame 11 containing a number of linear light-sources 24, 26 provided with reflectors 27, 28, some of which direct the light downwards and others upwards, so that it is reflected downwards from the ceiling and walls of the room. The light is emitted through lower and upper plates 22, 23 of diffusing glass. The frame 11 is suspended by a bail 12 from a support 13. The reflectors may be slotted, so as to allow light to pass through. them and to reinforce the light thrown by the oppositelyfacing reflectors.
