[Class 19] A tooth &c. brush back or handle A is formed with a number of spaced-apart double rows of bores B arranged close to each other so that the tufts of bristles C bear against each other a short distance above the back and form in effect a single tuft, which is then trimmed to taper each of the sides so that the centre bristles are supported and reinforced by the shorter outer bristles. The end group has a third short row of tufts to provide additional reinforcement.
