[Class 98 (i)] [Also in Group XL] In a photographic or kinematographic camera having a photo-electric exposure meter; the diaphragm and exposure-time adjusting members are connected through a differential gear to an adjusable follow-up member which is thus brought into registry with the indicator of the meter to indicate correct settings in relation to the light intensity. As shown, the indicator of the meter comprises a rotatable disc 1 carrying a mark, above which is a follow-up member comprising a transparent disc carying a co-operating mark. The latter disc is rotated through gears 3, 5 and a sun-and-planet differential gear by adjustment of the exposure-time adjusting member 8 and the diaphragm-adjusting member 15. The member 8 rotates the sun-wheel 10 through a worm-wheel 9, and the member 15 rotates the sun-wheel 11 through a worm-wheel 14 and bevel gear 13. The spindle of the planet-wheel 7 is secured to the shaft 12 which rotates with the gear 5. In use, the member 8 or 15 is first adjusted to the desired shutter-speed or diaphragm opening respectively, and the other is then adjusted until the mark on the follow-up disc driven by the differential gear coincides with that on the indicator disc 1 of the meter. A magnifying lens 17 is arranged over the discs.
