Abstract
541,539. Rubber dispersions. BRITISH RUBBER PRODUCERS' RESEARCH ASSOCIATION, and BLOW, C. M. Nov. 1, 1940, No. 15985. [Class 1 (i)] Dispersions of rubber or rubber-like materials are prepared by milling with rubber cholesterols such as wool wax, and emulsifying the soft mix. Bentonate or other emulsifying agent, and vulcanizing ingredients may be milled with the mix. A'cationic soap such as octadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide or an anionic soap such as cetyl sodium sulphate may also be milled into the mix to obtain a positively or negatively charged dispersion. Specification 538,505 is referred to.
