Abstract

540,983. Valve circuits for wireless reception. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. May 6, 1940, No. 8079. Convention date, May 6, 1939. [Class 40 (v)] A tuned circuit is connected in the space current path of a valve so as to produce degeneration and is associated with a rectifier to provide low frequency signals which are applied to the valve for amplification. Fig. 2 shows a tuned circuit 12, 13 producing degeneration and co-operating with rectifier 11 to give audio frequency voltage across load 16. The audio signal is thus applied to the grid and appears across the output load 18. A second rectifier 11<SP>1</SP> with load resistance 30 and voltage source 32 may be provided to furnish delayed A.V.C. voltages. Control grid 9 instead of being diode-biased may be biased from a separate source, Fig. 3 (not shown), or by a resistancecapacity combination 50, 51, Fig. 4.
