[Class 37] [Also in Group XXXV] An impedance device comprises one or more coupling members in electrical connection with one or more impedance elements, a housing of rubber or like material enclosing the impedance element or elements mechanically continuous with or firmly secured to the body or bodies of the coupling member or members which are likewise of rubber or like material, and the body or each body being adapted mechanically to engage the body of a corresponding coupling member having terminals to connect the device in a circuit. The impedance element i may be a resistance, condenser, or inductance or combinations of these and is enclosed in a housing h of rubber or like material which merges into the sheathing s -of the cable c connecting the impedance to plug terminals p. These are enclosed in a body b of rubber or like material merging into the sheathing s and having a flange d into which a rim m of the corresponding coupling member having sockets o fits tightly. In a modification the cable c branches into two portions each carrying a single plug member. The cable c may be omitted, the body b of the plug coupling member merging into the housing of the impedance. The other end of the impedance may similarly merge into the housing of a socket member.
