Abstract

538,026. Mirrors. PEACOCK LABORATORIES, Inc. Jan 16, 1940, No. 965. Convention date, Nov. 16, 1939. [Class 82 (ii)] A solution of silver nitrate and ammonium hydroxide is sprayed by a jet of compressed air simultaneously with a solution of glyoxal on to an inclined surface, on which a film of silver is deposited. The solutions need not be atomized but may be directed in the form of streams against the surface. Transparent materials such as glass, synthetic resins or cellulose derivatives, or opaque materials, may be treated. Specifications 524,753 and 537,987 are referred to.
