535,476. Calculating-apparatus. CUGLEY, F. J. Oct. 7, 1939, No. 27439. [Class 106 (i)] A logarithmic calculator for use by a retailer of wines and spirits comprises a pair of relatively rotatable discs 1, 2, each having a plurality of logarithmic scales of related factors. The disc 1 as shown has two scales, a scale b for determining the cost of a liquid in " pence per glass " and a scale c for the wholesale or retail price in " shillings per bottle." The disc 2 has a radial index line d and bears a "profit per cent." scale e and a scale f for determining the number of " glasses per bottle." A strip of celluloid or other transparent material g forming a loop pivoted on the central axis of the discs serves as a cursor and is provided with an index line g<SP>1</SP>.
