Abstract

535,230. Heating water; shower baths. CLARKSON THIMBLE TUBE BOILER CO., Ltd., and FOUNTAIN, H. J. Oct. 23, 1939, No. 28505. [Class 64 (i)] [Also in Group I] A portable ablution plant comprises a water heater, an independent water supply aggregate including a valve for mixing cold and hot water, and a shower apparatus. The heater has a water-jacketed base 1 and an upper thimbletube unit 4 bolted to the base, the water spaces being connected by a flexible pipe 10. The supply aggregate is mounted on a standard 14 stayed to the heater and includes a strainer 16, a hand pump 17 for drawing-water through a a pipe 19 and a valve 20 for connection to a mains supply. A thermostatically controlled mixing valve 21 is connected by pipes 26, 25 to the cold and hot water supplies. The water passes through a pipe 28 to a shower comprising a horizontal pipe 29 with spray branches 32 and supported on a collapsable tubular frame 31.
