Abstract
534,761. Aircraft windows. AERONAUTICAL RESEARCH & SALES CORPORATION, Ltd., and CONRAN, [nee MARTIN], P. L. Nov. 13, 1939 No. 29957. [Class 4] A window for an aircraft has a streamlined protuberance to enable the pilot to obtain a view in any direction. The protuberance B may be formed in one piece with the window which can slide in guides C, or it may be formed as a separate flanged piece secured over a hole cut in the window. The rear end of the protuberance may be closed by a return portion where it overlaps the side of the fuselage, or it may be left open. The material known under the Registered Trade Mark " Perspex " may be used.
