[Class 132 (iii)] A dart for use in playing the game of darts is provided with a flight which is non-revoluble when the dart is thrown but is capable of rotary displacement, when adhering to the playing board, if struck by another dart subsequently thrown. In one form the flight, Fig. 3, is cut in one operation from a blank sheet of stiff paper, linen or like material with vanes b and tongue portions c which are folded one upon the other and are attached to the dart body e, Fig. 1, by a headed pin f firmly secured within a collet g screwed on to the body. A sleeve member h of celluloid or other moulded material surrounds the pin f between the tongues c and base d. Alternatively the flight may be immovably associated with the pin f while the pin is rotatably mounted in the collet. In a modified form Fig. 5, the flight is composed of feathers secured by adhesive to a sleeve h through which the pin f passes. The point of the dart may be a steel spike l or the pin f may extend through the dart to form the point. The collet may be dispensed with and the pin itself may be screwed to the body. A sheathing of rubber to provide a gripping surface may be provided on the dart body and the collet may have a tape wrapping to fit different size ends.
