[Class 89 (i)] In bolting by means of an element having one or more nuts mounted, with limited movement. upon an attachment member the nuts are secured to or mounted in a carrier plate which has portions formed to embrace or pass through openings in opposite edges of the attachment member. Nuts 15, Figs. 1 and 3, such as those described in Specification 515,929, are soldered to a carrier plate 14 having edges bent to embrace, with play at 17, the flanges 12 of a shallow channel shaped attachment member 10. Movement of the carrier along the member 10 is limited by projections 19. In a modification the attachment member is in the form of a T- bar 22, Fig. 4, and is conveniently produced by extrusion. The carrier may have a hexagonal portion 26 stamped from it to contain the nut or a carrier as in Fig. 3 may be employed the nut being soldered therein with its bottom face level with the lower edges. In other modifications the flanges 12 of the channel are notched to receive the bent over edges of the carrier with limited lateral and longitudinal play. In another form the attachment member is in channel form 27, Fig. 6, with lateral slots 29 receiving with play lugs 32 on the carriers, and in a further form, Fig. 8 (not shown), the attachment member is a flat strip with lugs that are bent up between pairs of lugs on the carriers.
