[Class 135] A thermostatic mixing valve comprises a spiral heatresponsive element 30 secured to an adjustable spindle 35 and having its free end 31 engaging a slidable sleeve valve 36 on a tube 19. The tube ends 20, 20a form inlets for hot and cold fluids respectively and the tube has a central partition 22 and ports 24 leading to an annular mixing chamber 27 within the valve member.
