529,494. Sawing. NEALE, E. W., and HANDLEY, A. H. June 2, 1939, No. 16234. [Class 145 (ii)] In a sawing machine using a band saw b, the stock x, is carried by a jig t having a flange s shaped to correspond to the configuration to be imparted to the pieces cut off from the stock, driving rollers c, d, rotated by an endless chain h and engaging opposite sides of the flange being relatively movable, and held by a weight or spring u in driving connection with the jig. Three rollers may be provided two on one side of the flange s and one on the other, the former being carried by a spring loaded support n which holds all rollers in engagement with the jig. The rollers are carried by spindles f, g, which carry sprockets g, p, engaged by a chain h driven from a sprocket i coupled to a motor m.
