Abstract
529,451. Shearing. HATEBUR, F. B. May 19, 1939, No. 15028. Convention date, June 1, 1938. [Class 83 (iv)] In a machine for shearing tubing, feed rollers 2, 3 advance on tube 1 through an apertured cutter 6 in a stationary member to a stop member 5. Internal mandrels 4, 7, meeting at the plane of shear support the inside of the tube. A slide 8 carrying a semi-circular cutter 9 is moved in the direction of the arrow to sever the tube which is carried to the dotted position and ejected by the upward movement of the member 5. The mandrel 4 may be supported by a member 10 and the mandrels may be aligned by an electromagnetic device on the mandrel 7.
