Abstract

528,515. Two-way repeaters. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and WALSH, R. April 28, 1939, No. 12787. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iv)] In a system comprising a balanced twowire path the frequency range in which the singing point, i.e. the attenuation across the hybrid coil less 6 decibels, is greater than the line circuit attenuation but is too small for balanced two-wire working is used for signal transmission by arranging that adjacent channels the nominal frequency bands of which overlap are worked in opposite directions. The invention may be used for superimposing super-audible telegraph channels on a telephone circuit.
