Abstract

528,513. Valve amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., MEERS, R. A., and THOMAS, P. R. April 28, 1939, No. 12785. [Class 40 (v)] Negative feed back is provided on one or more of a group of amplifiers fed from a single input. As shown in Fig. 1 two amplifiers AA1 and AA2 are fed from a common main amplifier MA, the amplifiers employing valves as V1, V2 in push-pull. Negative feed back is provided over Cl, R3 and R1 from valve V1 and over C2 R4 and R2 from valve V2 and as this feed back is applied to the windings S1, S2 of the common input transformer T, it is applied to all the other amplifiers as AA2. As shown in Fig. 2 feed back is applied individually to the various amplifiers over balanced bridges such as R<SP>1</SP>, K<SP>1</SP>R<SP>1</SP>, K<SP>1</SP>RO<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>1</SP>O so that the feed back circuits of the various amplifiers may be of differing designs and may include attenuation networks which may or may not be frequency dependent.
