528,111. Plate apparatus for heating milk. BERGEDORFER EISENWERK AKT.-GES. ASTRA-WERKE. March 16, 1939, No. 8480. Convention date, Aug. 6, 1938. [Class 64 (iii)] A milk heater having an externally heated vessel b is provided with a rotary drum a, and the milk is passed in the space between the members a and b. Blades, ribs or grooves are provided on oblique lines on the member a which is rotated in a direction to oppose the normal flow of the milk, the velocity of the milk adjacent the heating surface b thereby being increased.
