[Class 106 (iii)] [Also in Groups XXVI and XXXIV] A centrifugal mechanism for indicating, recording, and governing speeds comprises weights n carried by rods and connected to a sleeve h which carries the indicator &c. l and is connected by rods m to a float guided in a chamber bv rollers u on rods s. The float contains ballast w sufficient to neutralize the weight of the mechanism when the upper surface of the float is level with the top of the liquid and the mechanism is at rest. The thrust bearings k on the sleeve h comprise two parts which dovetail together and are built from three laminations sweated together. The central plate has holes for the balls and the outer plates have smaller holes countersunk on the inner surfaces.
