[Class 108 (iii)] [Also in Group XVIII] In a self-indicating weighing-apparatus the movements of the dial 2 are damped by an annular oil container 12 secured to the dial and fitted inside with a number of inclined fan blades 13 which impede the oil as it runs to the bottom of the container during the rotation of the dial.
