[Class 98 (ii)] Colour photographic multilayer material comprises a transparent support carrying four silver halide emulsion layers dyed by dyes resistant to ordinary photographic treating solutions but capable of being bleached with the aid of a metallic silver image, two emulsion layers being blue-sensitive and coloured yellow. the third green-sensitive and coloured magenta and the fourth red-sensitive and coloured bluegreen, the magenta and blue-green layers being arranged between the yellow layers. In an example one side of a support carries a lower green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer dyed magenta with Benzopurpurine 10B and,an upper blue-sensitive layer dyed yellow with Chrysophenine G, while the other side of the support carries a lower red-sensitive layer dyed bluegreen with Pontamine Sky Blue 6 BX and an upper blue-sensitive layer dyed yellow 'with Chrysophenine G. The material may be exposed in a camera having mirrors permitting of simultaneous exposure from both sides or may be printed in a similar arrangement, white light or a coloured light consisting of a mixture of blue, green, and red lights being used for printing. The component lights may be used simultaneously or successively. The exposed material is developed and treated with a dye destruction bath, which may comprise a 5 per cent. hydrobromic acid solution containing .01 per cent. of 2 - hydroxy - 3 - aminophenazine.
