Abstract
523,498. Charts: calendars ; indicators. BECKER, C. Jan. 9, 1939, No. 694. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91, of the Acts, July 20, 1939]. [Class 146 (ii)] [Also in Groups XIX and XXXVIII] An indicator comprises a transparent sheet with graphic or pictorial markings and two under sheets having rectilinear movement with relation to each other and to the top sheet, the under sheets carrying pointers consisting of transverse index lines having an apex adjustable relative to the graphic sheet. In Fig. 1, sheets b, d, are slidable relatively to one another beneath a transparent map a. The upper sheet b has a triangular aperture h cut therein, and the lower sheet d is provided with a coloured triangle g so that by sliding the sheets relatively to one another and to the map, a coloured indication of any desired position can be obtained. In a modification, the upper sheet is formed with an aperture or a transparent portion extending substantially diagonally, and the under sheet is provided with a coloured stripe arranged at an angle to the aperture or transparent portion. In a further modification, each sheet, the upper one of which must be transparent, is provided with a coloured stripe.
