Abstract
432,589. Stencils. FOSTER, J., 31, Woodfield Avenue, Accrington, Lancashire. Feb. 13, 1934, No. 4687. [Class 100 (ii)] [See also Group XX] Means for use in drawing, designing, &c. consists of a templet A of square, hexagonal, circular, or other shape, provided with a central hole or pivot C, a circle E having its centre at C and marked on the upper half with a numbered scale for use in subdividing circles into equivalent numbers of equal parts, and on the lower half with a scale of degrees to serve as a protractor, a series of equidistant parallel linear slots B for drawing parallel lines, including a central slot in two parts on either side of the hole C, intersecting the circle E, a number of lines D radiating from the centre for plotting angles, and a series of small holes along a radial line for describing circles of different radii. The circle, scales, and radial lines may be printed or otherwise impressed. Additional slots, such as a wavy slot G, curved slots, or linear slots otherwise disposed, may be provided. Additional holes may be spaced symmetrically round the circle E or otherwise about the centre, for registering the templet in different positions. If the circle E is the edge of a circular templet, peripheral projections are necessary to permit intersection of the central slot with the circle.
