Abstract

522,368. Packing cases. JOSNSON, P. R., TAYLOR, W. E., and CALDERWOOD, E. C. Dec. 6, 1938, No. 35581. [Class 18] Wooden bottle crates having undulated or zigzag partitions 18 which locate the bottles in staggered rotation, have the surrounding walls 11 deeper than the tallest bottle and have a central partition 18 with handle opening 25 and recesses 27 opposite hand-holes 26. The partition may fit into stepped grooves in the ends. Additional partitions 17 are provided and projections 22 on the walls and also recesses therein assist to locate the bottles. The bottom laths 13 are spaced apart and are held by nails and a wire 14. Partition 18 is also secured by a wire binding 23.
