Abstract

522,319. Huts. HILL, J. F. P. Dec. 10, 1938, No. 36094. [Class 20 (i)] A hut comprises roof, floor and wall panels joined together by removable pin hinges, the sides of adjacent wall panels abutting with uprights disposed at the joints, and a partition in removable sections disposed between opposed uprights. The floor sections 10 and 11 may be hinged together and are provided with half-hinge fittings 17 adapted to register with similar half-hinge fittings on the bottom edges of the wall and end panels and be joined together by pins 19. The ends are joined to the sides by similar removable pin hinges 23, and adjacent panels 20 abut at their side edges as shown in Fig. 7 and are joined to uprights 27 at these positions by similar hinge members 28. Disposed between opposed uprights is a partition formed in parts 32 adapted to divide the hut into compartments. The outer edges of the wall panels are rabbetted to receive the edges of the end closures. The roof panels 14 are connected to the side and end panels by similar removable pin hinges. Bunks 30 are hinged to the side panels and are adapted to rest on battens 31 provided on the end and partition walls. The bunks may be hinged to the end panels and be provided with hinged extensions to rest on the floor when the bunks are in use.
