522,255. Brush-holders for dynamo-electric machines. TOBIN, C. H. Dec. 3, 1938 No. 35251. Drawings to Specification. [Class 35] In a brush holder of the type in which the brush holder is connected to the brush follower by a helical pressure spring through which passes a stem attached to the follower the stem is graduated to allow the pressure on the brush to be read and is provided with an aperture to which a spring-balance can be attached for the purpose of calibrating the scale. The scale may be adjustable on the stem or read against an adjustable pointer. The invention is described as applied to the brush-holder described in Specification 389,766. The pressure on the spring can be adjusted by means of an insulated cap.
