[Class 38 (i)] A contact brush for a variable inductance comprises a number of L-shaped copper laminae 4 having rounded knife-edges 5 at their points of contact with the conductor 1, all pivoted on a shaft 6 extending across the brush box 3, and each having a blade spring 11 bearing against a pin 13 so as to be independently urged into contact with the conductor. Specifications 504,014 and 515,688 are referred to.
