Abstract

518,185. Screening apparatus. NISSEN, J. E. Aug. 17, 1938, No. 24253. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 20, 1939.] [Class 117] Vibration is imparted to one or more screens freely mounted in a frame by knocking devices disposed about the screen surface which strike but are not secured to the screen surface. In the form shown, the ends of the screen 2 are secured by rods 4 and springs 17 but its sides are unattached except that springs 12 may be provided to prevent sagging in the case of long screens. The frame 1 in which the screen is mounted also carries knockers 31 which are actuated through rods 19 and links 24, 25 from the eccentric 20. Several screens may be superimposed in a common frame.
