Abstract
517,976. Moving signs. STOTT, A. H. Aug. 12, 1938, No. 23784. [Class 3 (i)] Two or more beams of light are directed through moving colour filters onto a screen. Fig. 2 is a plan showing two sources of light 34, 35 backed by reflectors 38 and shades 41 to direct their light throughvari-coloured discs 21, 22 rotated through gearing by an electric motor. The light after traversing the discs is reflected by stationery mirrors 36, 37 on to a viewing screen 10, which may bear representations. A stencil or transparency 14 is interposed changeably, in slots 13, between the mirrors and the screen further to vary the design. In a modification a single lamp surrounded by a convection current rotated colour drum has its light reflected by angularly arranged mirrors located on each side. A further mirror may be disposed in the floor of the casing.
