517,725. Lawn - mowers. FLEMING, J. M., and BARNES, W. H. April 3, 1939, No. 16988/38. [Class 6 (ii)] In a lawn-mower of the " side wheel " type the sole plate d carrying the bottom blade e is made of relatively flexible material and is pivotally mounted at f in each of the side plates g, each end being separately controlled by a handwheel or nut l acting on a bolt k against a spring m which normally tends to urge the blade e out of contact with the cutting cylinder b so that a variation from end to end of the blade e can be compensated for by the flexibility of the sole plate d. The sole plate may be locked in its adjusted position by the bolts n. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 207,277, [Class 6 (ii)] and U.S.A. Specification 2,007,743.
