Abstract

517,340. Stirring-appliances. B.B. CHEMICAL CO., Ltd.; and TURNER, J. M. July 25, 1938, No. 21960. [Class 86] A stirring device for mounting on the mouth of a can comprises a radial, inclined vane at the end of an axially movable shaft for removing sediment from the bottom of the can. The shaft is carried by a casting 7 which is fitted with pivoted, forked members 17 which engage the neck of the can and are moved by cams. The shaft is fitted with vanes 45,47, slightly and oppositely inclined, and fitted with fibre or similar extensions 49. Other vanes 55 are provided above the vanes 45, 47 and at right angles thereto. Specifications 124, 386, [Class 86], and 424,342 are referred to.
