[Class 81 (ii)] A suction device for artificial upper dentures comprises a number of thin strips c, each formed as a suction channel open to the palate and arranged in an opening of the tooth carrying portion b, of the denture. The channelshaped strips may be connected to a central strip d which may be provided within its hollow with a rib f corresponding to the longitudinal suture of the palate. The channelshaped strips may be of various cross-sectional form; they may be formed at their ends with recesses g or may be connected by a wire to facilitate the production of a firm connection, e.g. by vulcanization, to the denture body.
