Abstract

514,830. Moulding artificial teeth &c. REICHSVERBAND DEUTSCHER DENTISTEN. May 11, 1938, No. 14101. Convention date, May 12, 1937. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Groups VI and IV] Artificial teeth, crowns, bridges, &c. are made of layers 3, 4, 5 of different coloured synthetic resins in powder or plate form so arranged in the mould that the transparency increases towards the outer surface. The layers are consolidated into a homogeneous body by heat and pressure. The mould cavity has a cylindrical extension 7 containing a further quantity of resin to compensate for shrinkage, and pressure is applied to this by plunger 6 and handwheel 17.
