514,730. Clip devices for filing papers &c. FOSTER, C. E. May 10, 1938, No. 13908. [Class 44] [Also in Group XV] A clipping device for filing papers comprises one or more wire clips, each formed by coiling a length of wire to provide jaws 2, 3 in parallel planes connected at one end by crossing arms 2a, 3a, the part 3 being slidably mounted on the lower face of base 7 so that the clips may be pulled out laterally as shown at the lower part of Fig. 4, which illustrates two pair of clips. Outward movement is limited by abutment of the overlapping wire ends 3b against a rib 10 The clips are pulled out to allow application of the papers 5, 6 to the base, and are then pushed in to clip the papers, Fig. 3. Instead of overlapping, as shown, the ends 3b may abut and be secured together by welding.
