Abstract

539,276. Clips. VANOLI, E. E. Feb. 29, 1940, No. 3816. [Class 44] A spring wire clip has one or more preferably circular coils 10, the ends extending and being crossed and bent to form U-shaped jaws. The ends 22, 23 of the jaws bear against one another, the limbs 16, 17, 18, 19 are bowed, and the free ends are provided with eyes 20, 21 disposed near the coil 10. The limbs 16, 17 of one jaw alternate with the limbs 18, 19 of the other jaw as seen in Fig. 3, which enables flexible material to be gripped. The device may be used, inter alia, for supporting curtains, a supporting rod being threaded through coils 10, or a screw eye may be threaded on to the coils and used to secure the device to a support.
