514,590. Flexible metal tubes. THOMPSON, G. H. July 4, 1938, No. 19698. [Class 99 (ii)] A flexible metal tube comprising interlocked helical windings has a wire f wound in the groove between the turns and has a braided metallic cover g secured to the tube at its ends. The wire may be wound under such a tension as to indent the tube and form a seating for the wire in each of the adjacent turns. The seatings may be preformed. The tube may be reinforced by a helically-wound steel strip e and may have a rubber covering.
