Abstract
514,121. Spools or reels. BARLOW, R., and HOUGHTON, R. L. April 27, 1938, No. 12601. [Class 120 (iii)] [Also in Group XVII] A reel holder comprises a body portion 1 made of card or like flexible material and a plug lid 4 having attached thereto a core 8. The mouth of the body may be curled inwardly to provide a bead, the lid having a corresponding groove or projections to prevent accidental displacement thereof. The core may be' closed at the lower end, the upper end fitting over and secured to, e.g., by screw threads or pips, a boss projecting from the lower side of the lid; the closure for the lower end may be a ferrule which supports a tube rotatably mounted on the core. The core may be of sheet metal or cardboard or may be a solid wooden cylinder. The lid may be of "Bakelite" (Registered Trade Mark). Specification 486,933 is referred to.
