Abstract

512,280. Glazing windows. HILLS PATENT GLAZING CO., Ltd., and HINCHLIFFE, E. D. June 22, 1938, No. 18535. [Class 20 (iii)] The glazing of a metal window frame d is effected by metal beading strips e which are so constructed that they can be attached to metal strips a, secured to the frame, by a simple sliding action. The strip a shown is welded to the frame and is formed with lugs b adapted to pass through apertures formed in the lower side of the hollow beading strips e. In mounting the strip e, the apertures are placed immediately over the lugs and the strip is then moved lengthwise so that the lugs engage with the inner face of the lower side thereof. Corner-pieces g of channel section are fitted over the ends of the beading strips.
