Abstract

511,753. Cutting butter. MEIER, R. Jan. 20, 1939, No. 2066. [Class 87 (ii)] In machines of the kind in which heated rotary cutters scrape strips from a supply of butter to form rolls or rings, the cutters are heated by means of hot water. The cutters 9 are mounted on a hollow shaft 8 filled with hot water through an opening 15 and provided with a crank handle 12. A block 10 of butter is moved towards the cutters by leading-screw mechanism 29, 32 geared to the shaft 8.
