Abstract
511,678. Maps &c. ETABLISSEMENTS BOURGOGNE & GRASSET. March 16, 1939. Nos. 8456 and 8457. Convention dates, March 17, 1938, and June 15, 1938. [Class 146 (ii)] Maps and other documents are printed in reverse on the back of a transparent sheet and the impression is covered by a opaque protective coating, so that the map is viewed through the sheet and pencil or other markings can be erased without damage to the map. The sheet may be of cellulose derivative or like material such as those known under the Registered Trade Marks " Cellophane " and " Rhodoid "; alternatively, tracing-cloth or tracing-paper may be employed, in which case there may be applied a facing- coating of transparent varnish to remove surface irregularities which tend to obscure the impression. The protective coating is preferably a layer of varnish containing a white or coloured filler whic may be phosphorescent or fluorescent.
